Brothers in Professional Wrestling

With Cody Rhodes and Goldust this weekend at Battleground, I thought we'd take a look at the other brothers who made it big in professional wrestling.

Who would you say is the best brother duo?

WWE Releases Announcer Tony Dawson

Wrestlezone.com is reporting that the WWE has released announcer Tony Dawson.

While the WWE felt that he was a nice guy, they felt that he lacked passion for pro wrestling.

Announcer Tom Phillips was hired around the same time as Dawson and they felt Phillips had surpassed Dawson.

Who Is The Brock Lesnar Guy?

Yesterday, 8/13/13, the WWE posted the following photo of CM Punk with a guy known around the internet as "The Brock Lesnar Guy".

Immediately, the WWE Universe began posting all kinds of comments about this guy.  I, like everyone else, saw this guy for the first time on April 2, 2012, the night after Wrestlemania 28 when Brock Lesnar returned.  He is seen in the record doing the pose that he is doing with CM Punk as soon as Brock raises his arms and slams them down as he usually does.

The reason this guy stands out to everyone is, because April 2nd wasn't the last time we saw this guy.  Week after week, he is seen in the front row of Monday Night RAW.  Not just in certain areas of the country, ANYWHERE.

When WWE posted the above picture, people began asking who he was and does he work for the WWE?  It was my first initial thought as well, but I decided to do a little research.

First up, he is not only known as "The Brock Lesnar Guy".  He is also known as "Markout Man", I haven't found out why yet, but he is referred to that a lot.

Second, HE ALWAYS WEARS THE SAME DAMN SHIRT!!  If this guy can buy tickets to all these WWE events, Why can't he buy any different shirts?

Third,  He isn't always there when Brock Lesnar is around.  He's been in videos with Daniel Bryan as well.

Fourth, He brings signs too.

Fifth, he has a friend.  I haven't seen his friend in quite awhile, but there is an African American gentleman who I've seen in the crowd on more than one occasion.  He is typically at the opposite corner of what the Brock Lesnar Guy is near the steps leading up to the ring.

Sixth, he has a Twitter account, it's https://twitter.com/BrockLesnarGuy

Seventh, he has an obsession with the Green Power Ranger.  If you look at his Twitter pics, he has a lot of them with WWE Superstars, but he actually has more with the Jason David Frank then any other.

Eighth, he even attended the WWE Hall of Fame Induction.

Ninth, (This is my last point),  CM Punk called him out a year ago at Wizard World Chicago,  below is a video of the moment

At this point, that's all I have of him right now, no name but we are getting closer and closer to discovering who he is.

Here is a video of him last year at

Here are some pics that I found of him from around the web and you can find a ton more on his Twitter page

Summerslam Stipulation Added

It was unclear last night when Kane stated Bray Wyatt and himself would be wrestling in a "Ring of Fire".  WWE.com has now confirmed that Bray Wyatt and Kane will face each other in an "Inferno Match".

Is John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan the Hulk Hogan vs. Macho Man of the Current Era?

vs.

The moment John Cena started asking WWE crowd who they wanted to see him face at Summerslam, you got that feeling that WWE was going to give you what you want.  That feeling when you come downstairs and Christmas morning and see a gift wrapped in the shape of that gift you've been asking for.

On last week Monday night Raw, the WWE delivered and we are all happy.  The moment John Cena said those words "I choose Daniel Bryan", the crowd and the rest of the WWE Universe erupted.

We all know Daniel Bryan is the hottest superstar in the WWE right now.  Every week we want more and more and most of us watch just to see him.  Now they have the universe invested.

Think back many many many years before when the top 2 superstars in the company clashed at Wrestlemania.  I'm talking about Hulk Hogan vs. Macho Man Randy Savage.  It's hard not to compare these two feuds.

Let me break it down.

 - Both are faces!
 - Both are very popular in the company
 - One is about just as popular as he is hated.
 - One of them is a superman
 - One is known by his iconic beard
 - One of them is completely unique as his own character.
 - Both are friends outside of the WWE
 - Both have had A LOT history before they actually faced each other for the belt.
 - Both are incredible on the microphones and delivering promos.
 - The challenger never has had the belt, and deserves it!

I could go on and on.

I think we are in for a good show over the next couple weeks on Raw and to Summerslam.

What do you think about these comparisons?

Gene Snitsky and his wife surface at Pennsylvania Hibachi Restaurant

Remember the monster Snitsky who just basically fell off the face of the WWE Universe?  The image to the left showed up on the "Uma Japanese Hibachi Restaurant"'s Facebook page.  The restaurant located in St. Clair, Pennsylvania.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Uma-Japanese-hibachi-restaurant/154559261365537

Snitsky has been known to reside near this area.

Snitsky last appeared on WWE television on the November 24, 2008edition of Raw, losing in an Intercontinental Championship Tournament match to CM Punk.

Looks like the monster hasn't changed too much.

"All Star" May Be Out of Money In The Bank Match

WWE.com is continuing to tease that Kane may not be able to wrestle at the Money In The Bank PPV this coming weekend.

As we all saw, the Wyatt Family set there freaky eyes on Kane and smashed his skull between the steel steps.

Tuesday, WWE.com began with a story saying that the WWE trainers still needed to examine Kane's situation.  Now Wednesday morning, they are saying it's "doubtful" that he would be able to wrestle.

Do you think Kane will be able to wrestle?  If not, who will take his place?

The WWE "All Star" roster is very slim.  Anyone else who could take his place is already involved in a match (psstt, Jericho!).  Or will this push Kane back to the dark side.

I might go with the latter.  Kane's character has gotten pretty soft since his days going to anger management classes.  This would be the probably be a great way to push him back to the dark side but still keep him as a face.

OPINION: The WWE Universe Will Ruin Bray Wyatt

The WWE writers are a lot to blame for the recent issues with the end WWE product.  I mean, Wrestlemania 29 could have been booked a lot better, but as I see it right now, the WWE Universe is going to ruin the Bray Wyatt character.

The Wyatt Family debut was brilliant in my book.  Their promos over the past week were something fresh and new.  Definitely a darker side to the WWE that we haven't seen probably since Kane returned and was trying to push John Cena to the dark side.

The first appearance was just as it should have been and showed how strong Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are.  It also made you wonder what was going to happen next and made you want more.

The only problem with their debut wasn't anything they did or what the WWE planned.  It was the crowd and WWE universe in Baltimore, MD.

Bella Twins Real-Life Relationships with Cena and Bryan to Be Included on Total Divas

With rumors of Daniel Bryan going after the WWE Championship at Summerslam next month, the question arose of whether or not the Bella Twins' real life relationship with the Bryan and John Cena would be part of the Total Divas show.

Well, after a new promo was posted this morning, it looks like we are going to get to see these wrestlers on the show.

What do you think of this?  Will this ruin the show or any of the rumored storylines?

Should The Wyatt Family Close Raw Tonight?

In my opinion, YES!!  If you look at the amount of buzz the Wyatt Family has created before their debut,  it's almost a given.

Raw's rating have been slowly declining the past couple of weeks.  And there last hour shows usually the worst.

They need something to keep people watching up until the very end.  Kids are now out of school, people are on vacation, so make them stay up!

WWE has to know that everybody is going to only be watching for the Wyatt's tonight.  Not for Vickie Guerrero's evaluation or to see the McMahon's.  We've seen it before.  Let's keep those for the 9 and 10 o' clock spots.

Here is how it should go.  We have our main event for the night, whatever it may be, champion vs. champion, meathead vs. meathead, whatever!   After the match ends, the lights go out.  A single spot light shines on the entrance ramp of the empty rocking chair.  The lights dim and you hear Bray Wyatt's voice either giving one of his speeches or just laughing.  The spotlight comes back and with Erick Rowan standing with his sheep mask on.  The lights dim again.  We hear more laughing or talking, and this time, the lights come up with Bray sitting in the rocking chair with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper standing behind him.

Bray then gives a killer promo to freak the crowd even more, and as he is talking the lights dim and he still keeps talking.  The spotlight slowly comes back up with the empty chair but no Wyatt Family and just a snicker and empty rocking chair to end the show.

This story would get people talking, freak kids out at home and in the crowd attending.  And leave us just wanting more!!!

WWE Referree's Daughter Training To Be A Diva

Scott Armstrong is a WWE Referee who has been with the company for MANY years.  While doing some recent Twitter stalking I came across a twitter account for "Kayla Armstrong".  She is the daughter of Scott Armstrong.

While reading her tweets she mentions she is a 3rd generation Armstrong and Diva in training.    As you can see by the picture above she is hanging out with Natalya, a current diva, and most of the pictures on her account are with her dad who travels with the WWE tour, most of the year.

Could we see something from this in the future?

Travel Companions of WWE Wrestlers

I've been to a few WWE events but one thing I've never done was hang around outside the arena while the wrestlers left.

While at the WWE Smackdown World Tour in Reading, PA on Saturday, May 4th, they made it easy for you to watch them leave since the ramp to leave is right outside the main entrance.

While standing outside, some of the travel companions of the wrestlers were not near what you would think

Dolph Ziggler (Driving), AJ, and Big E (Champion even has to drive himself)

Cody Rhoades (Driving) and Ted Dibiase (keeping Legacy alive!!)

Alberto Del Rio (by himself)

Ricardo Rodriguez (by himself, but he originally arrived with Cody and Dibiase)

Damien Sandow (Driving) and The Great Khali (Khali was nearly in the backseat, can you imagine the conversations they had in the car)

Natalya with the Bella Twins

Alicia Fox and one of the Funkadactyls (driving)

Another Funkadactyl (by herself)

Corey Graves (By himself)

Matt Stryker (By himself)

Rod Zapata (Ref, by himself)

Brodus Clay (with an unknown beautiful blonde)

Wade Barrett (Driving), Darren Young, and Justin Gabriel (Nexus still sticks together)

Titus O'Neill, and the Uso's

There was a huge tour bus that left, couldn't tell who but I assumed it was either Big Show or Randy Orton or both

Brock Lesnar Tears Through HHH Office

Paul Heyman just posted the following image on his Twitter Account

He is suppose to show the footage of Brock Lesnar destroying HHH's office this evening on RAW.

WWE Smackdown World Tour Results - Reading, PA - 5/4/2013

The Usos vs. Prime Time Players
Very entertaining match,  The Usos got a big pop (not sure why they aren't on TV more).  The Primetime Players got lots of heat.  They were constantly teasing the crowd.  The Usos won by pinfall.  Gotta ask what in the world is pointing out of TItus O'Neill's right thigh?  Looks like a pencil point pushing through his skin.

Ted Dibiase vs. Corey Graves
Graves came out with a mic putting down the crowd, but they weren't very interested because most didn't know who he was.  Very slow match and started out very excited to see someone from NXT. By the end I wasn't very impressed with Graves.  Dibiase won by pinfall.

Natalya vs. Alicia Fox
Decent match for Divas. Natalya won by submission with the sharpshooter.
Justin Gabriel vs. Big E Langston (supposed to be a special attraction match but not sure why) Justin Gabriel put on a great show,  never got to see him due the 450 but did see a lot of high flying action. Big E won by pinfall. The crowd started a great chant  of "E has D Cups".  Big E seemed to absolutely hate it!

Dolph Ziggler with AJ and Big E vs. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez. for the World Heavyweight Championship
Ziggler was out first with a lot of boos despite a lot of Ziggler shirts in the crowd.  AJ was immediately sent to the back because of a Twitter/Text pole asking the crowd to vote if she should stay or be sent to the back.  Unfortunately she was sent to the back.  Big E got to stay.  Very entertaining match and was just as good as any match we've already seen from Ziggler and Del Rio.  Ricardo and Big E were very involved and Ricardo was eventually thrown into the ring steps where he stayed most of  the match.  Alberto eventually locked in his submission but Big E interfered causing Alberto to win by disqualification.  Alberto and Ricardo got the last laugh by clearing Ziggler and Big E out of the ring with Alberto standing tall in the end.  Great match and should have been the main event.

Intermission

Tons of Funk with Funkadactyls vs Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes with the Bella Twins
This was originally announced as an 8 man tag but none of the women were dressed to fight.  This match was very entertaining with lots of laughs.  Sandow and Rhoades bickered back and forth not wanting to tag in to fight either of TOF.  At one point Rhoades jumped from the ring apron and into the crowd just so he wouldn't get tagged into the match.  Sandow even screamed like a girl at one point.   TOF used many tandem moves and near the end of the match the Bella Twins jumped in ring to distract the ref but that caused the Funkadactyls to jump in and clear them out.  That got the ball rolling for TOF and they won the match.  They pulled some little kids into the ring afterwards to dance.

Wade Barret vs The Great Khali for the Intercontinental Championship
I couldn't even believe I was witnessing this.  None of the crowd was interested in either of the men. Most of the crowd actually booed Khali for his performance.  What I was hoping would have been a squash match lasted almost 10 minutes and eventually finished with Barrett winning by pinfall.

Orton vs The Big Show was the main event
Both wrestlers got a huge pop but Show obviously got more heat.  Show played the bad guy perfectly just walking and seemed very uninterested in even participating.  Even to the point where he left the ring then returned about 4 times.  Both men put on a great show.  They fought in the ring, outside the ring, and even partially  up the ramp. Both men used their finishers but Orton eventually got the win with the RKO.

Biggest Pop
Orton
Del Rio
Tons of Funk
Dibiase

Biggest Heat
Big Show
Ziggler
Big E
Prime Time Players

The losers of the night
The Great Khali
Corey Graves
Alicia Fox
